Welcome to
Ascension Fellowships International
Welcome and thank you for visiting the A.F.I website! "We exist to provide relational apostolic covering for the equipping and strengthening of local churches and their leaders for the advancement of the Kingdom of God.

How does AFI serve local churches?
Every church that relates to the AFI network, does so voluntarily. AFI has no legal control over any local church. It is the responsibility of the local eldership to govern the local church.
AFI is not a denomination per se; but rather works relationally to provide local churches with biblical covering.

In the early church, the function of the ascension ministries was to train, equip, instruct, correct, and encourage the church. This is our desire today. Where there is a need, we want to be of assistance. We are prepared to help train and ordain leaders, to see local eldership emerge and mature, and to see the local church function as a healthy expression of the Body. the AFI apostolic team meets at least twice a year to seek God for specific needs of the AFI churches. Once a year, the entire family of churches gather for a National Leadership Conference.
If at any time you have questions, concerns, or prayer requests, please feel free to write us a message on our contact page and one of our team members will contact you.

Subject: Update on Foothills Fellowship
Dear AFI Family,
I hope this message finds you well. I am writing to share some important updates regarding our sister church, Foothills Fellowship, in Bozeman, Montana.
Over the past year, Foothills Fellowship has experienced a series of significant transitions. One of the most notable developments was the sale of the Log Cabin church to the Montessori School, which had been renting space from them. The school has graciously allowed the church to continue holding services there until June 2025. During this time, the elders and church members have been diligently searching for a suitable location to relocate and rebuild. Unfortunately, the extremely high cost of real estate in the area has made it prohibitive to rent, lease, or purchase a new space. Coupled with a dwindling congregation, the elders have made the difficult decision to close the doors of Foothills Fellowship. This news was shared with the remaining members of the congregation last Sunday, and while there were tears shed, there was also a profound appreciation for the community they had built and the love they shared.
The AFI team will be meeting in Bozeman from May 1-4 to address the necessary details associated with closing the church and to seek God’s wisdom regarding the many unanswered questions. May 4th will mark their final service.
I kindly ask that you keep this situation in your prayers. We know that much seed has been sown in this valley over the years for the glory of God, and we trust that He will bring ultimate good from what has been entrusted to His care.
Thank you for your ongoing partnership in the work of the Kingdom.
Peace be with you,
Rich
